Overview

Basic Background

An orphaned girl dedicating her life for the Monastery—until she finds out, one day, through a mysterious letter that beckoned her to leave and search for the sender: her Father, whom she thought was long dead, sent for her. The peace she thought she would dwell in the rest of her life was disrupted in an instant. Whatever in that letter lit something deep in her conscience, so much that she begged to her Elders to allow her leave the Monastery in order to search for her “Father”. Ashenka, nicknames thanks to her ashen skin, sets out to the outside world to answer the call within her letter, perhaps for her “Father”—or for a harsher truth she has yet to foresee.
